In the NEWS: Thailand: Martial Law Declared

On Tuesday, May 20th Thailand’s military declared martial law, following six months of protests that saw at least 28 people killed and more than 500 injured.

Today (May 22) the Thai Army announced that it was seizing control of the country in an effort to restore peace; this intervention marks the 12th time there has been a military coup d’état since 1932.
At this time, military presence is visible throughout Bangkok and a nationwide curfew from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. has been imposed, but overall business continues to operate as usual.
