Shipping NEWS: USA: Port of Baltimore Operations Resumed

Members of the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) Local No. 333 resumed work October 18th after a three-day long strike that halted operations at the Port of Baltimore (the port handles more than 30 million tons of cargo annually and is the 11th-largest port for cargo in the United States).

Workers have agreed to a 90- day “cooling-off period” while negotiations continue on a new local contract.
