TheMIGroup Awarded C-TPAT and PIP Certification from the US and Canadian Border Protection Agencies

TheMIGroup has received certification by the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, Department of Homeland Security (formerly US Customs Service) as a full participating member of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. In addition, Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA) have welcomed TheMIGroup as a fully certified partner in their "Partners in Protection" program. This means that TheMIGroup is the first and only North American Relocation Management company to offer our customers the added security and benefits of these programs.

What is C-TPAT?
Customs understands that it has entered a new era and requires the assistance of private industry to ensure increased vigilance throughout the supply chain. C-TPAT is a joint government-business initiative that builds cooperative relationships to strengthen overall supply chain and border security.

As part of the C-TPAT application process, TheMIGroup worked with our suppliers to conduct thorough self-assessments, develop strict security guidelines, and implement comprehensive security programs. On an ongoing basis, the Bureau of Customs & Border Protection will track our progress in implementing security improvements, communicating C-TPAT guidelines to our business partners, and establishing improved security relationships with other companies.
